SUMMER SCHOOL AND FIELD TRIP (1ST) 2017

Background
The 5-day summer school included the sessions on Transdisciplinary research and teaching, Human Migration, Resource Degradation and Climate Change, Social Ineqaulity and Preparation for Field Trip. The field trip sites included
1. Mong Phu - In the center, ancient village with cultural heritages, many farming households
2. Cam Thinh - Near the center, cultural heritages, mostly farming households
3. Dong Sang - Near the center, with market and cultural heritages, less engaged in agriculture
4. Doai Giap - Not far from the center, cultural heritages, mostly farming households
5. Cam Lam - Far in the South-west from the center, with cultural heritages, mostly farming
6. Phu Khang - Far in the South of the center, not cultural heritage, mostly farming households
7. Van Mieu - Bordered with Son Tay town, at the main intersection road, mostly farming
8. Hung Thinh - On the bank of the Red River, mostly farming
9. Ha Tan - On the bank of the Red River, mostly farming

The participants have been divided in to 3 working groups to present the reflection of implementing transdisciplinary research.

Group 2 Environmental Issues as reflected in local sanitation, water management and safe farming practices, Hung Thinh
Group 3 Migration: Why migration or lack of migration concerning livelihood, Dong Sang
